park güell in barcelona, spain

A montage from my visit to Park Güell in La Salut, a neighborhood in the Gràcia District of Barcelona, Spain.  This park was designed by famed architect, Antoni Gaudí, built between 1900 and 1914 and was opened as a public park in 1926.  In 1984, Park Güell was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.  A very relaxing yet beautiful park indeed, totally worth visiting!

sagrada família in barcelona, spain

During my trip to Spain last year, I had the chance to visit one of the most beautiful and unique churches of the world, the Sagrada Família in Barcelona, Spain, by famed architect, Antoni Gaudí (1852 - 1926).  This church is also known as the Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family.  Construction on this started in 1882 and Gaudí became involved (and took over this project) in 1883, incorporating Gothic and Art Nouveau styles of architecture.  Gaudí then died in 1926 when only 25% of this project was complete.  Relying solely on private donations ever since, this building's completion date is anticipated to now be in 2026!
